55 Hits!

This blog has had 55 hits today!
I mean that’s not a lot for some blogs…but before that the most I’ve had was 17! Happy day!
I think I’m going to start separating my topics into different posts as opposed to one gigant-a-post like I tend to do now.

So I just tried to start working on my two major papers that are due in under a month (slight panic attack occurring right now…) and my school’s website is all messed up. I don’t have access to the journal databases which I need to do the research for my papers. Frustration! So instead I’ve been working on some blog stuff, mainly pictures, which you will see in the upcoming baking posts.

Do you ever have days where you just don’t want to do anything? Where you feel tired and sluggish and really wish that you hadn’t gotten out of bed? Well, that’s how I’ve been feeling for a couple weeks. I’ve been telling myself its just from the painful breakup, from being overworked at school, from stress, any reason I could think of because I didn’t want to admit the real culprit- gluten. Besides stomach problems, eating gluten makes me feel like a tired lump of goo that has no motivation to do anything. Since I got back from Mexico (where I undoubtedly consumed large amounts of gluten through cross contamination) I’ve been lazy about avoiding gluten. I think “Oh, that little bit in the Cheerios won’t affect me.” I’ve been wrong; very, very wrong. And now I am paying dearly for it. Its time to return to my “Hardcore Anti-Gluten” diet as I like to refer to it. Goodbye fruity Cheerios and Crispix.

This weekend I am heading with my Momma (plus 38 other shopping crazy gals) to Spokane, WA for a weekend of shopping! I can’t wait!
Especially since it means another short week at school.

As for the Goals, I’ve lost track a little bit. This weekend has been hectic and lazy at the same time. I need to put the running off until my body has recovered from all the nasty gluten side effects. So we’ll see how that all goes.

I’ve been reading like crazy in the last little bit. I finished 3 Karen Kingsbury books in the last week. Sunrise, Summer and Even Now. I am currently reading The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency by Alexander McCall Smith, which I’ve wanted to read for a long time and am thoroughly enjoying and highly recommend!

Anyone have any good book recommendations for me? I’m always on the lookout for new good books and authors!
